Cookie Policy

This policy explains how RotaBridge uses cookies and similar technologies on rotabridge.com, what choices you have, and how they relate to our Privacy Policy.

Last updated: 25 July 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy describes how RotaBridge("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our web application (the "Service").

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more broadly.

"Cookies" are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar browser storage (such as localStorage) where needed to run the Service. UK and EU rules on cookies and electronic privacy apply to these technologies in the same way when they are not strictly necessary.

2. How we use cookies and similar technologies

We group them into two categories:

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the Service to function. They do not require your consent under UK PECR / EU ePrivacy rules because the Service cannot work without them.

Name / keyTypePurposeDuration
rotabridge_access_tokenlocalStorageKeeps you signed in to your accountUntil logout or expiry
rotabridge_refresh_tokenlocalStorageRefreshes your session securelyUntil logout or expiry

We may also set short-lived technical cookies if our hosting or security stack requires them for load balancing or abuse prevention.

2.2 Analytics (non-essential)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our marketing website (for example, which pages are viewed). These help us improve the product and site. They are not required for the Service to work.

We only load Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner, or if you have previously saved that choice.

CookieProviderPurposeTypical duration
_gaGoogleDistinguishes users for analytics2 years
_ga_*GooglePersists session state for GA42 years

Google may also set additional cookies or collect device and usage data according to their policies. Measurement ID used in production: G-SXQWY4WF6W.

Google's privacy information: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites using Google's browser add-on: Google Analytics Opt-out.

3. Cookie consent and your choices

When you first visit our website, we show a cookie banner that lets you:

  • Accept all — strictly necessary storage plus analytics
  • Reject non-essential — only strictly necessary storage; no Google Analytics
  • Manage preferences — choose analytics on or off

Your choice is saved in your browser (for example in localStorage under a consent key) so we do not ask on every page. You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data for rotabridge.com or using the cookie settings control on our site when available.

Strictly necessary storage for signed-in users is separate from analytics consent. Logging in does not mean you have accepted analytics cookies unless you chose to.

4. Third-party cookies

When you complete checkout on a paid plan, Paddle may set cookies or use similar technologies on their payment pages in line with their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control those cookies.

Links to third-party sites from our marketing pages may also set cookies governed by those sites' policies.

5. Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site storage. If you block strictly necessary storage, parts of the Service (such as staying signed in) may not work. Blocking analytics cookies or rejecting them in our banner stops Google Analytics from loading.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies or change how we obtain consent. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date.
